This is managed as part of the shared services that are combined in Belgium.

These days, retailers are very demanding when it comes to the supply of products to their logistics platforms. Deliveries must be made just in time within the requested timeslot, entirely in compliance with the specific supply conditions (right pallet type, correct stacking, etc.) and respect the detailed product requirements (e.g. the correct transportation of chilled or frozen products). Furthermore, suppliers must hold the right certificates. Although the shared services at Pietercil Group are combined in Belgium, when it comes to our logistics activities abroad, we always make use of local logistics providers/specialists with whom we have been working closely for many years. Furthermore, the relationships with our partners go hand in hand with extensive logistical guidelines and procedures and are based on contractual SLAs. All of our partners are GSFI certified (BRC/IFS) and have their own particular speciality. 

• Managing the flow with specialists in the logistics of food and non-food products, both ambient, chilled and frozen, as well as ADR logistics.
• Providing Operational Electronic Data Interchange links with all partners, in order to guarantee that the entire logistics flow is covered.
• Managing contracts for local flows with all pallet pooling partners: LPR, CHEP Benelux and IPP Pallets.
